I get this every time I get up from laying down !! It’s normal .

My belly did that the other day and it freaked me out! I thought I had ripped my abs in half (diastisis recti) but apparently it’s just flexing your ab muscles but I read to avoid doing anything that makes your abs that shape because it will increase your risk of diastisis recti.

I can’t see the other comments, but diastasis recti can present like a ‘coning’ of the abdomen if that hasn’t been suggested

Same here, only in the bath. Now I use the hand rails exclusively to get out the bath so I don't engage my core. Weird init

I get this if I have to rely too much on my abs raising or lowering onmy back (usually in the bathtub). No idea what it is.

Mine literally just did that 5 mins ago too,  I have diastasis but it’s only 2 inches at the top.  Now it’s gone
