So .. tell me if I’m being crazy!!

This other mom has started texting My husband and not me when it comes to our daughter and her daughter. They, the girls (both 7th grade), have recently gotten into a fight and are taking a break because the daughter has become the 3rd wheel. The 3rd wheel of what you might ask ... she didn’t want to work on the school play whereas my daughter and co-friend (who is a boy) did ... and they ARE/have been for the past two weeks. This girl has serious emotionally issues because any time my daughter branches out with conversations to other students they get into a fight. It’s almost like a fear of abandonment. Her mom is a serious helicopter parent who is constantly by her side in EVERY activity/school function.

My husband works a lot of nights and this lady works in the school cafeteria so she can’t text during the day when he is off. It bothers me that as the person who is constantly with kids, does morning drop off and afternoon pick up, school activities where we constantly see each other, that she refuses to have contact with me and instead with my husband who is home 2 nights a week .. physically but not emotionally or mentally as he is always on his phone. Out of our 3 kids, he doesn’t come to Boy Scout meetings, show choir comps, school music concerts, conferences, soccer, and made it to one basketball game out of three! He never knows what’s going on or Where we are. Nothing.

I want to tell her to back off from texting my husband about crap he’s not involved in/knows nothing about and that it’s inappropriate to text someone’s husband. My husband doesn’t feel it’s a big deal and says I shouldn’t be bothered by it. She has been doing it for weeks almost every day it’s something.
