The Wonder Weeks Help?

Question

Okay so my baby is currently in leap 4, 2 weeks away from leap 5. She is missing a lot of things from the check lists for leap 4. Should i be worried? She will be 6 months on the 20th. She does not use constonant sounds like d's or m's or b's and she doesnt respond to her name yet either. Here are pics of the check lists.

For this one, we dont have an activity center. Theres nowhere to store it and we didnt feel a need to buy one -shrug-

As an early childhood special educator who has studied this age group, 10 and under, I'd say that everything looks just fine. Idk about the program that you're in with her or that specific checklist but she can still catch up and just might learn at a different rate. A couple sections look like they might need a bit more work/focus but nothing to be worried about just yet I think. The only major thing I look for with checklists is if they have less than half of a section when they are either about to move to the next age checklist or have none checked off of whole sections when they are halfway through the next age section. The time it would be a red flag for me is when their checklist is behind in multiple sections of an age behind where they should be, or a parent has a concern and a section needs to be more in-depth to find out why they're not reaching those milestones. I use a different checklist set though. Overall I'd say you're doing great😊

Babies reach milestones at different rates. What they put on those checklists isn’t always what baby will be doing. Our son was missing a few too for a few of those lists. But he picked them up after another month or two. And is now very on track with everything. Sometimes it just takes them a little longer. Don’t worry too much momma. She’s fine. 😘😘
