Nexplanon removed

So my implant expired on 18th January & i’ve just had it taken out today, my nips have been sore for around a week, is this a result of the implant expiring?

also, i’ve put on almost 2 stone since having it in, does anyone have experience of their weight returning to normal? any advice would be appreciated 😊 x
