How do you ladies do it?

My husband drives a corolla and it snowed today and he’s saying he’s sliding everywhere but it only snowed about 1-2 inches max and the roads are a little icy but there’s tons of people on the highway doing just fine right now and everyone else around us drives sedans as well and he’s freaking out. I think he just needs to slow down when driving and he would be fine. If it was a huge problem everyone would have chains or they would buy a vehicle that did better in snow. Obviously I don’t think it’s a big deal since i see no one else struggling to drive but this is my first snow season so am I wrong or right? If you drive a sedan and drive in snow do you slide a lot or do you drive cautiously and make it to your destination just fine?
