Can lip ties grow back?

So my husband and i were the car talking about random stuff when he said you "did you know that I dont have the skin attached under my lip?" I was like huh? He showed me and I was thinking he probably got it clipped when he was a baby? Even though he insists he tore it when he fell as as kid😂 lol so who knows.🤷 His mom had a total of 10 kids and she breastfeed most of them i think. He wasn't born in the states either so im not sure what kinda practice was done. I just think it's kinda funny how he said it. And now I just wonder is the skin supposed to grow back?

If it’s clipped, lasered, or naturally torn it can grow back but it doesn’t always. My daughter has a mild one and the pediatric dentist said she’d most likely break it in a fall like most toddlers do and if it wasn’t giving me problems breastfeeding (it’s not) that I didn’t have to clip it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I still don't understand lip and tongue ties. All my skin is still intact like my brother and sister, so I don't get what's a lip/tongue tie and what isn't lol..then again I ain't a doctor

My son’s lip tie was lasered, and it partially grew back. His tongue tie also partially grew back, but they also did not laser it enough (it is very deep posterior). We were required to do exercises which we did every three hours as the dentist told us. They just grew back 🤷🏻‍♀️

Welll my daughter has that lip tie on top. The doctor told me that we can get it cut ( she was only 6 months ) so we didn’t do that, she said most of the times kids play then fall & actually bust that so he could’ve done that!

Mine tore when I was kid lol my mom freaked out cuz it bled a lot I guess. I think some are more severe than others and are only medically corrected if the baby has problems eating
