What's the difference between a chemical pregnancy and a miscarriage?

I had one the month before I got pregnant pregnant with my last baby, ended in miscarriage at 18 weeks but the plus side to chemical pregnancies much like miscarriages are that you are super fertile your next cycle so here's to a big fat positive October for the both of us ;)

With a chemical an egg implants but doesn't start growing into a baby and you generally start your period on time or a few days late and ordinarily wouldn't know anything happened unless you were actively trying to conceive and tested. It's the earliest firm of miscarriage. With a miscarriage the egg implant then starts to grow but for one reason or another chromosomally it's not right and will eventually stop growing
