Clomid for late ovulation

Hey guys , I started taking clomid 50mg last month and I ovulated on cycle day 16 . I took it again this month but I’m on cycle day 18 with the flashing smiley face(it’s been flashing for 7 days ) but still no LH surge . Is it supposed to be the same ovulation day every month? Is that normal ? Should I keep testing my cycle is length is between 28-32 days ?
