Ultrasounds already??

How are you all getting ultrasounds already?? My office doesn’t do them until 12 weeks. I get one at 12 weeks and one at 20. That’s it.

Mine is this Thursday I’ll be 6weeks and 5days but I’m getting an early scan due to previous missed miscarriage. The scan is there to make sure baby is viable and then the next scan will be there to make sure I don’t have a subsequent missed miscarriage. Last time I had an early scan and then 3 weeks later I found the baby had passed away and my body couldn’t recognize because I had already developed a placenta.

Mine did one at 5.5-6 weeks and i have another one scheduled at 8 weeks. I believe it may be because i had a miscarriage and they are checking for growth and hb (:

mine only did one today at 10 weeks bc she couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler so she used a bedside ultrasound just to see baby and heartbeat otherwise mine is 12 weeks and 20 also ive definitely been wondering the same thing

Private scans, for one. And two, most doctors at least around me have the dating ultrasound at 8-12 weeks, 8 being the earliest. Also you will have more ultrasounds and sooner ultrasounds if you have a history of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancies, or are carrying multiples.

I had 1 at 9 weeks to confirm and I’m paying for a private one at 14 weeks. I’m not sure when my next one for the dr is though.
