Could my blood results be wrong for the gender?

I got the results back from my Q-Natal blood test and they said girl, but two different ultrasound techs told me boy. I am only 15 weeks but still now very confused. Aren’t blood tests from the doctors usually very accurate?

Blood tests are interesting. They look at X and Y chromosomes. The only false positive you can get is a boy result. If there are ANY Y chromosomes present in your blood, the result is for boy. Cross contamination would give a false boy result. If your blood test said girl, it’s because there were no Y chromosomes detected. I believe you’re having a girl. At this point, do not look at ultrasounds for gender.

I just wanna say I am in the same boat and I am so relieved someone else is experiencing this. I got my blood results back and was told girl here is my ultrasound at 14 weeks I swear it looks like there is a penis between this babies legs the tech even said she thought so herself too! We go back soon to confirm with another ultrasound but I already have a daughter and even at 14 weeks they could tell and she just had three little lines between her legs. Here is the pic!!

Blood tests can be wrong especially if you did it yourself and sent it in. The ultrasound can also not be 100% which is why they say to wait till your 20 week scan. My tech told us boy at our 13 week scan but the cord was laying in the way so it was difficult to tell!! My doctor said that they can’t be certain until 20 weeks so he didn’t want to speculate!

Oh wow! I thought the blood tests were super accurate as well..oh now I'm questioning it for myself 😂 that does look like a little boy ultrasound.. I would go to a private scan in maybe a few weeks or so to just do one more check

The first ultrasound says 13 weeks 1 day. At 13 weeks it's too early to accurately predict gender because they look too much alike. You're 15 weeks now though. I would wait 2 weeks and then go back and check gender

Do you have a side view? Girl peepees stick out like that early on. It looks different to me because I don't see the definite balls and stick that other girls are posting for boys
