Rear facing car seat in two door??

FTM here. I currently drive a Honda Civic coupe, ideally my fiancé and I would trade my car in for a 4 door but that’s not exactly financially   feasible until July and baby girl is due June 12. Has anyone safely gotten a car seat to for rear facing in a two door? I know it’s going to be a huuuge pain getting her in and out if this is possible

I used to sell car seats and yes. Physically it is possible. Often it’s either in the middle or the passenger seat has to be moved all the way up. My recommendation is to shop at a store what will let you try seats out in your vehicle (often you leave a DL or credit card). If you can’t find some place that does, leave the tags on any you buy (until you know they fit) and test them out in your vehicle. Local car seat technicians can make sure it’s installed properly.

Yes, my husband drives a Kia Forte coup and it is a very tight fit but he found it easier to get our daughter in from the opposite side.

My SO recently started taking his parental leave for our firstborn who is 7 months right now:..he has a 2 door and he is cursing not getting a 4 door before now. We are making it work, he puts her on the passenger side (not feasible to put her in the middle), and he dreads it. Sorry mum, you may just need to try out a few at the store if that’s an option. We’ll be getting a 4 door as soon as our mortgage on our new house goes through.

Use the middle seat. It's also the safest place in a vehicle anyway. If that doesnt work, do the passenger side with the seat all the way up

Yes I had a 2 door Toyota solara with my first. Drove him in there til about 2 or 3 until I got a 4 door. Made it work.
