Spotting | 29 weeks

Hi friends,

Wondering if anyone can relate to this or offer any advice. I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant and when I woke up this morning i was spotting lightly. I have never spotted or had any type of bleeding at all in this pregnancy. When i called the doctor’s office first thing in the morning, they advised me if i had had sex (sorry TMI) within 24 hours that they didn’t want me to come in and get checked. Because i had had sex the night before, i didn’t go in. I have had no pain or cramping, only the light spotting. The spotting i have had is a dark red/brown color, not bright red. Has anyone experienced anything like this in the third trimester? Should i be worried? This pregnancy has come with little to no symptoms so this is VERY new to me. Thanks in advance!

Also adding that after i noticed spotting, my husband and i quickly found the heartbeat using the fetal doppler and i still feel consistent kicks.
