Hello friends!

Eryn

My fiancé I are brainstorming for our wedding.

Yes we picked a date but since it isn’t set permanently we don’t want to tell many people. So let’s just say Fall 2020 to give an idea.

We have been told by multiple people that is too early to plan anything.

What advice do you have for us?

Anything you think will help!

Thanks to everyone in advance!

It's definitely not to early, remember it is your wedding if you want to plan do little things I know when I booked my venue early everyone gave me grief but when it came time to look at it with my parents it was all booked up for the year if I had not booked them early I would have lost my venue. Same with my photographer. Do what you feel comfortable

I totally agree with you my and future husband had to do the same thing with our venue it’s already booked for fall 2020 so I’m very happy we’ve planned ahead already

It’s never TOO early! It’s takes a year, minimum, to plan a decent wedding. All I really mean by that is that you have more time and hopefully more funds to have the wedding you’ve always envisioned.

It’s definitely not too early. I got engaged in December 2017 and I’m getting married this June. I started planning pretty much immediately and started booking vendors by March 2018 (so like 15 months in advance). Starting early has been the best decision because it gives you more time to save money, to find vendors you love in your price range that are still available for your date (vendors can book up to a year or two in advance), and it’s way less stressful because you can book one vendor and then take a few weeks off from planning before doing something else. Time goes by soooo fast when you’re engaged! I can’t believe I’m only four months out from my day and I’ve been engaged for 14 months already! I say the earlier the better!
