How do I keep my 6 week old and myself from getting sick?

My SO has come down with a nasty cold. Hes barely holding the baby unless I need him to while I eat and go to the bathroom. When he does he uses hand sanitizer and keeps the baby away from his face. He's not kissing the baby or me and sleeping on the couch so I don't get sick either. Anything else we can do? I feel like I have a sinus headache and I EBF and co sleep so I cant get this.

It’s difficult not to get sick when someone is  sick and living with you. Germs can be airborne as well from coughing and sneezing. I try to use Lysol when someone gets sick in my house, but there’s only so much you can do. If you both get sick just keep nursing and keep your fluids up. My little guy and I were sick when he was only 3 weeks old. It was scary, but nursing is the best thing you can do for your little one. It only lasted a couple of days for him thankfully. Mine actually lasted longer.

Just found out our son has the flu and strep. Hes 4. And our second son is a month old. The doctor said keep them seperated as much as possible, keep Lysol spray and wipes around. Currently my son is wearing a mask around nose and mouth ( I wear one too just so my son doesnt feel bad or embarrassed) but I breast feed and I'm worried what else can I do too.
