When did you introduce purées and was baby formula or breastfed?

Most health organizations recommend not starting any type of food until six months. I waited until six months with my first and will with my 4.5 month old too. There really are no benefits to starting solids before six months.

Never 🙅🏻🙅🏻 we started right with actual solid foods (baby-led weaning) at 6 months. Both the AAP and the WHO recommend waiting until 6 months either way for all forms of solid food. She was exclusively formula fed up until then.

my doctor gave us the green light 4 months old. we did it a little, but didn't start giving him more till 5-6 months.

6 months, baby was breastfed, and it wasn’t actually purées, but solids. We did BLW and loved it. Just remember: food before one is just for fun.

I tried at 4 months and she hated it. Tried at 6
Months and she still hated it. She actually never liked purées ever. She did really like eating small cut up veggies that I would sauté and fruit around 8-9 months.
