Changing formula

I give my baby enfamil the yellow one but i want to change to enfamil gentlease because my baby gets gas ive tried gas drips but they dont work for her. My question is does my Pediatrician have to approve for me to change her formula or can i just tell WIC i want to change it to gentlease. Do they need his approval ?
