When did your periods return after miscarriage?

There was no heartbeat at my 8 week ultrasound so I had a D&E done 12/31. I still haven’t had a period. Just curious about the average amount of time it has taken for a period to return. My OB said 4 weeks😕

Sorry for your loss. I bled for 2 weeks after the D&C and 2 weeks after my natural miscarriage. Both time my period came back around 30 and 32 days.  And then it went back to my normal cycle of 28 days.

I bled after 28 days but only for two, my RE said it probably wasn’t an actual period. Then after 33 more I bled two days and spotted two. Now I’m day 28 waiting for next to start. We’ve been ttc but I don’t think everything has normalized yet. I did confirm ovulation with opk on day 17 this cycle though. Considering stopping bbt because it’s running my life and I’m obsessing over every little drop. Do you all temp too or is it fine to just track bd and periods and opks? Been temping six months minus a few weeks after d&c and I hate the routine of it.

I am sorry for your loss. I know the feeling. I Mc 6 weeks (low hcg levels) and got my periods 4 weeks later. Every body its different. If your hcg dropped to 0,you can start trying even if you dont get your first periods after the mc. Many womans get pregnant right after mc.

So sorry for your loss. Mine came back after 6 weeks. But took about 5 months for it to 'get back to normal'. Wishing you a speedy recovery x

Everyone will have different experiences. For me, it was about 3 months. I'm so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a baby. It is good to let your body heal and give yourself time to heal as well. But also remember that just because you do not have a period, doesn't mean you are not ovulating. I had my Miscarriage 9/1, bled a week straight then nothing. Had my period end of September and then again in November. I've been regular since.

I had mc on 11/1... i had positive pregnancy tests for 3 weeks afterwards as my body flushed the HCG and then got my first period on 12/10. Next period was 1/16. 
Before pregnancy i was consistent 28 days
I had a normal ovulation schedule as per my OPK this month. Should get my period next week. (Hopefully not!!) 
My doc said it takes a few months to regulate after MC
