So I just moved away literally 2.5 weeks ago. My bf and I have been together for 18 months and until I moved we lived together. So we saw each other every day and spent a lot of time together. I graduated from university and got a job out of state but he still has 2 more years so he did not move with me.

I just started the new job and work almost 12 hrs a day, more 6 days a week than not, and am lucky if I have 4 hours a day free(between work and sleep). I work 2pm to 1-2 am so my free time is when he is in school most of the time. He keeps saying that he "needs his gf" and "give me attention". He has not been very keen on me moving in the first place so...... I know that LDR takes work and this will not even remotely be figured out after only a few days of work, but what can I do to help? This is my first LDR and he is having more trouble with it than me(he has more free time than I do). We did talk on the phone a lot yesterday cause it was Sunday and we both had the time. What are some suggestions on how to "give him attention" without simply texting him cause we already do what we can with that but it isn't enough. I am honestly at a loss here and I dont know what to do. I love this man and I don't want it to potentially end due to "my lack of trying".
