Stopped Taking my birth control 2-3 months ago & now periods messed up
Ok, so I know it’s too common, I’m just curious really when things will straighten back out.
So I’ve never really used BC because when I was younger (15&16), I tried so many different ones, and every one of them would has bad effects on me, so my drs would always switch every couple months. So I stopped taking them at 16. Safely. Anyways, I’m 28 now, I had my first child at 25. At 26&27 my periods started getting messed up, but I knew it wasn’t just my periods being off, I knew there was an underlying issue, but my Gyno insisted I go on BC first to se did that worked, which it didn’t, but I still used it for like 8-9 months (periods were still oft & in between) So, I was right and there was an underlying issue messing everything up, and as soon as I took care of that issue, which included bigger issues needed surgery, I had GERD , which I had to have a series of surgeries because I also had a hiatal hernia, anyways, my body was just all messed up. So I got it straightened out, and my periods were normal again, but the Birth control has really messed with my mood/emotions and I knew it because that was the only time in my life that I felt like that, remember, bc didn’t work for me years ago, so I don’t want to / need to take it now, as a married mother of 2, I just don’t like the idea of being on birth control especially when it messes with my body, so I stopped taking it 2 months ago. And my period was actually normal, until now. I ended my period like 5-6 days ago, but then just 2 days ago I started like a light period.. it’s more than spotting, but not heavy like a regular period. I’m just curious who else has dealt with this and how long it took for your body to “go back to normal” if it ever did lol. I know everybody’s different, just wanting opinions. Sorry for the short book!! 😂
