First cold sore during pregnancy??

Question

Anyone get a cold sore for the first time (primary infection) during pregnancy (specifically during 3rd tri) and delivered a healthy baby?
I know recurrent cold sores don’t pose much of a risk but if it’s a first infection it’s riskier. 
I’m 36 weeks and have a cold sore and am overthinking trying to remember if I’ve had a cold sore before in the past or if it’s my first one??

I would ask your ob. I know woman can have herpes(not saying you do, just in general) and can deliver vaginally. (As long as theres no outbreak. For a cold sore I wouldnt see why it would interfere with delivery at all. Its on your lip, you just wouldnt be able to kiss baby and take precautions.

You’ll be fine, the first outbreak might cause you a little more discomfort then any more to come. I’ve had cold sore my whole life, you have probably had the virus for a really long time and due to pregnancy causing your immune system to weaken it was enough for one to pop up.
