When do you get hsg test?

My dr. Has mentioned getting hsg test to check if tubes are blocked next month if I'm not pregnant this month on my 5th cycle of clomid. What part of your cycle to you get the hsg test? If there is a blockage can the dye clear it or do you have to schedule surgery?

You get it done before ovulation.  I think between day 9-12 usually, to avoid ovulation!

I had mine cd10, and depending on the blockage sometimes the pressure of the dye will clear it out. But if it doesn't you will have to have another procedure, which just depends on how big the blockage is, and where it's located. 🍀 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

The dye can definitely clear stuff out (apparently "gunk" can get in there). If it's blocked, you may have to have surgery is they find a hydrosalphinx, which is a fluid pocket, which can cause infection or leak toxic fluids into your uterus, disrupting pregnancy. I have one blocked tube due to endometriosis, but no hydrosalphinx, so it's just "blocked" and it doesn't work, but no need to remove it.
