Newborn feeding
My son was born on the 31st so he's still not a week old yet, he is losing weight kinda quick, still not in the 10% yet though but getting close. I have a large supply and I found ways to make it so he can latch, and have a bottle when Daddy wants to feed him. He eats between 1.5 ounces and 2 ounces every 2 hours if not sooner. The doctor and lactation consultant told me he only need an ounce to half ounce every 2-3 hours but he still seems hungry with the way I feed him and is still losing weight. I'm wondering if I should start feeding him every hour or make him eat more every 2-3 hours. He falls asleep during his feedings once he's close to the end. I'm worried and even the pediatrician is saying to keep feeding him the same amount I was told to before.
