To circumcise or not??

Just watched the Hulu doc American Circumcision and it really gave me a lot to think about.  Prior to watching it, I was 90% sure I would circumcise my little guy (due 3.28) but now I’m completely on the fence.  What are your ladies thoughts on the issue??  What are you planning to do?  Or if you already have boy(s), did you get them circumcised?  And why?  What are your partner’s thoughts on the issue?

I have 2 boys age 9 and 6 and I didn’t circumcise them I’m pregnant with my 3rd boy and he will not be circumcised either my husband isn’t circumcised and he’s perfectly fine never no issues and my boys have no issues either perfectly fine with the skin there. Other countries don’t do it unless it’s medically  necessary I don’t know why America just “chooses” to do it 🤷🏽‍♀️ it literally has no benefits it’s just cosmetics like a damn nose job to enhance looks god put the skin on my boys for a reason and they will stay with what they were born with

We are choosing not to. I don’t feel it’s necessary and if he wants it later he can make that choice himself. We do need to make sure everyone who will be changing diaper knows about to forcing the foreskin to retract and that can cause MAJOR problems for them, so that’s my only concern. Do what you feel is best, no shaming here.

Personally my spouse and I are circumcising. But it’s a personal choice so if you and your partner aren’t comfortable doing it, don’t do it. If you feel it’s in yours & the baby’s best interest to do it, then do it. It’s really no one else’s business to say what you should and shouldn’t do. You are his mom and you are doing what you believe is best for him. Don’t tell anyone’s opinion or comments make you feel bad for what you think is best.

This should be in controversy corner because it's such an issue. I think after watching that if yoire still on the fence idk what to tell you except do more research ? You've already learned theres literally no benefit for it, and that it is painful, there can be so many issues afterwords thanks to botches. And its not your choice to cut off a part of his body. If he really wanted it later in life that should be his choice. This is so socially normalized in America but the majority do not circumcise. I would NOT.

It's definitely a personal decision between you and your partner. Personally, we are not circumsizing this baby. My partner isn't, he has no problems, and we don't think it's necessary. 
I have noticed whenever anyone makes a poll about circumcision on this app, the majority always say they are doing it. But the majority on here are also Americans, and it seems to be done a lot more in the States. I'm in Canada and it's more common not to have it done, and in lots of other countries its not even really a thing. 
Just do your research and make your own decision.

Can be such a touchy subject for some. I have 3 little boys already and they are all circumcised. I left it more so up to my spouse and he is circumcised himself. I am due with another little boy start of March and going to get him done as well. We had no issues at all with any of the boys. They healed fast too.

We did not circumcise our first son and will not be circumcising this one either.  Please join "Your Whole Baby: A Community for Learning" on Facebook and get feedback from medical professionals and scientific research.  With my first I thought circumcision was the right thing to do but I was so wrong.  My husband who is circumcised is who talked me out of it.  Now my heart breaks for babies who are cut.

My husband was all for circumcision and I was not. It was a big source of discontent between us. Finally, we talked to his friend who is uncircumcised and he told us how much he loves it, would never change it, was never made fun of, never had any health issues, etc. Then my husband read testimonials from circumcisions and after reading and everything, he decided he doesn't want to. It is such an unnecessary procedure. I couldn't even imagine hurting my baby like that (because sleeping through it is a myth/lie and the babies definitely hurt during and after). I'm so happy to be having an intact baby!!!! I have some printable things from the website Your Whole Baby and I'll be putting them up on our hospital door and making sure every nurse is aware!

Unfortunately for me and our maybe baby boy (we’re waiting to find out the sex) he’ll be getting cut simply because I left the choice up to hubby because he’s the one with the penis.
