Question: how do you guys owe taxes? My husband makes 70k per year and has never owed in his life. I’m so confused.

We owe about $13,000 in federal and state combined, but I had saved $23,000 for taxes so I’m considering the $10,000 leftover our “return”

I only worked for 2 months out of the year and I’m getting $980 total back, but that’s with the fact that we forgot my husband had a w2 coming because it was early in the year and so I’ll have to do an amended return as well.
