Hello! I’m having my first appointment with an adolescent gynecologist for potential endometriosis in two weeks. I’m really nervous, but I want my pain to stop. My primary already tried 5 different types of birth control with me, and nothing has worked so far. What will the appointment be like? Will I have to have a pelvic exam?

More than likely a chat 
Pelvic exam could happen and for me it was painful. But it will be over quickly. They just push up on the walls inside while pushing down. It’s to see if there’s anything unusual. But the only way to know for sure is by doing surgery. 
Also ask aboht orilissa. It’s for endometriosis and it could be an option you’d be interested in. Look into it or you can even call the company it self. Their nurses are wonderful (: 
Don’t be nervous! You want surgery to be last resort but honestly I’ve tried 4 different types of meds to help... no wait 6. Nothing. I’m doing surgery in two weeks.
