Do you mind the smell of “dog” ? (Description)

I’m ashamed to say this because I like dogs, but I cannot stand the smell of dog on my hand after petting one! I’m not talking about dirty dogs and don’t want to hear “I give mine baths”... THEY ALL SMELL LIKE THAT. Unless you have a cat sized dog then it’s tolerable.

But Oh my god, I want to wash my hands even before I touch wonderfully friendly golden retriever ... that’s how much I think they stink.

I would LOVE to have a dog someday but this absolutely kills it for me... I have to know if there’s anyone else bothered by dog smell!

PS.. I have a cat. My parents have cats. The only thing on him that smells is his breath, unless he literally just came out of the litter box then there might be a faint smell of kitty litter but it goes away... maybe it’s just me and I’m nose blind - but I do have a cat!
