Vitex...anyone taking this?

This helped regulate my periods but yesterday when I saw my doc he said he couldn’t find any information on the supplement and said he couldn’t say either way bad or good but he would recommend me stop taking it. 
I’m worried if I stop taking it I will miscarry- I feel like that’s what had me keep this pregnancy so far. I’m 8w2d today and have had 3 miscarriages before!

I would go with what your doc suggests and stop taking it. A lot of the herbal medications are not recommended to take during pregnancy as doctors have no evidence of how it can affect pregnancy. I know that some herbs can cause the uterus to contract - that is the prime reason why doctors suggest you don't mess with it. I also used to use vitex to help regulate my hormones before pregnancy. Stopped when I got pregnant.

I took vitex 3 times a year and stopped taking it because it did not help regulate my periods. I’m glad it helped you but, I would listen to your doctor. Good luck and congrats.
