Would you tell a dying family member you are expecting?

We just found out my grandmother has a couple months maybe less due to to cancer. We’re conflicted on telling her. We don’t want to upset her because she won’t be here. What would you do? We’re only 6 weeks and the odds of her being here at the end of the year isn’t very likely.

Absolutely ! This will probably give her peace as she passes to the next side.  It is said for every new life one old life has to passover.  I think this would be a gift

This is not a normal case but it is very special to me so here goes.
I’m named after (well middle name) my grandmas sister, Blanche, who was in her last few months of a battle with cancer when my mother found out she was pregnant with me. It was obvious the end was coming soon and doctors gave her about 3 months. When my parents told her they were pregnant with me she flipped out. Then my mother informed her if i was a girl they would give her name as my middle name. 
My aunt had no children of her own and apparently went on for weeks about how she was going to have a namesake. She was so excited and amazingly enough, she went into remission. Doctors were baffled. My grandmother would bring me to see her at least twice a week. She finally passed when I was 4 years old. We were reading a book together in her rocking chair and we both dozed off. I woke up in her room and there were a bunch of EMTs there. She had passed away in her sleep while holding me. 
My grandmother tells me that I’m exactly like her, the black sheep of the family. All of the family members do. From the way I look to the way I speak. Aunt Blanche was considered “mod”. She was a total rebel and wallflower. She refused to ever get married and instead got a job that allowed her to travel the world. I have a box of postcards from her travels. She was an active women’s rights advocate and a feminist through and through. She once got into trouble for showing up to Christmas Eve Mass wearing her white go go boots and a mini dress. She didn’t give a damn what anybody thought of her and did things that made her happy despite what society tried to put on her. She was an extraordinary person and I’m honored to be named after her.
Sometimes knowing that things are going to continue after they are gone is comforting to a person who is in their final life stages. Sometimes it makes them feel better and gives them something to look forward to because they may just be around to see it after all.

I personally would. The relationship I hold with my grandma is very important and even more important the one she would hold with my baby whether from heaven or here on earth ❤️
