Almost one year of trying?

Question

I stopped birth control at the end of March 2018. 
6 months after that, we got pregnant in September but miscarried in October. 
Does our “year of trying” restart because we got pregnant in September? Even though it didn’t stick? Or is one year of trying still this April?

I don’t think your year of trying restarts. But I guess it depends on the reasoning of the time tracking? Tracking for doctor reasons/starting interventions of unsuccessful year of trying or something else?

We started  trying July 2017. Miscarriage April 2018. I was told by OBGYN that the year started again in April because technically I was pregnant. Some doctors I have heard tell patients 6 months. Every doctor is different.

Yes, unfortunately. I asked my doctor the same thing. It took us 6 months and I asked one, will it take another 6 months and two, if it does can I come get some tests done and explore other options and she said if I'm not pregnant by next December we will have that conversation. That I was able to get pregnant so that's a good sign and it may take a year from this mc to conceive again before she's concerned. She made me an appointment for next December and said if I'm not pregnant by the she will see me then to do some testing.
