Rant! 🤬

M

Just had to drop the kids off to my “ex” husbands house while I went to get our taxes done. (We’re not divorced yet.)

Our baby is just over 2 weeks old. I told his dad that if he got hungry, there were bottles & formula in the bag—both already measured and ready to go. He usually drinks about 3 oz every 2 hours.

But I forgot that I had an 8 oz bottle in there as well, filled up with distilled water in case I need it while we’re out. It’s a Dr. Browns options bottle, without the middle part in it.

I was literally gone for a half hour. I get back, and he’s feeding the baby... with the 8 oz bottle. He put the formula that was measured out for a 3 oz bottle, in an 8 oz one.... actually probably more like 9 oz because I filled it wayyyy up.

The baby drank probably 3 oz of that before I got back & freaked out.

I know formula should absolutely not be watered down, and babies shouldn’t have extra water. Not only did he get all that extra water and not enough nutrients, but the middle part wasn’t in the bottle, so I’m sure he’ll be gassy and extra pukey now too!! Ugh!!

Is this ok? Should I be worried?

My ex is never around since we separated, by his own choice, and I shouldn’t have even left the baby with him. I just don’t know how someone could be that dumb, especially on their second child. I’m so pissed.
