Anyone else’s OB seem to be pushing anti nausea meds?

It seems like this time around they’re really pushing brands like reglan and another one I can’t remember.... makes me wonder what incentives big pharma is pushing these days 🙄

My OB has never pushed any medication on me. He perscribes Zofran which, I obviously needed because I suffer from HG. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My OB/GYN is affiliated with Memorial Hermann hospital in Houston and straight up told me they stopped getting samples a few years ago because they refuse to push drugs on patients. This was after I asked for a sample of diclegis, knowing I got a sample back in 2015 for a previous pregnancy. I can’t speak for all OB’s I just know mine doesn’t push any drugs on his patients. He truly works for us.

Nope. My doctor prescribed phenergan which is exactly what he prescribed me 3 years ago with my daughter. Both times I’ve avoided taking it if at all possible. My 2.5 year old daughter has tooth defects due to a seizure medication I had to take. It was necessary, but I try to be very careful with taking meds during pregnancy

Yes pharmaceutical companies pay them to prescribe their medication to patients.

Yes they get incentives for it. Thankfully my dr doesn’t push for them, but when i have to go in for IV fluids at the clinic, the drs there put in orders before even asking me first and get mad when i tell them i dont want the meds and to remove them from my chart and cancel at the pharmacy,🙄
