Icsi or ivf?

Question

My husband has low sperm count and motility. Dr suggested us for IVF. We are done with all blood work. And from 8th I’m going to take birth control pills.
But I’m confused weather to go for IVF or ICSI. Can anyone help????

Icsi is an additional option offered as part of the IVF process. It was explained to us that ICSI is helpful in cases of sperm issues because they take just one sperm and help it along to fertilize the egg with it.  It costs an additional 2000 but has better success rates. Without ICSI, they would attempt to fertilize the egg by putting 50k sperm around it and allowing them to proceed on their own. If there are alot of eggs, alot of people opt to do half and half. Otherwise our doctor recommended ICSI if there are only a few. We have male factor infertility too. I'm new to all this as well, but this is how the choices were explained to me.

Did ivf with ISCI. My clinic does ICSI for any sperm issues. My husband has zero morphology. Some clinics can do traditional ivf and if nothing is fertilizing switch to ICSI. You could ask about that as an if needed option.

We did IVF with ICSI and had a successful cycle. We had 10 embryos make it to day 5.

I am unfamiliar with icsi specifics, But it seems like thats the most successful thingwhen male infertility is a factor.
