I Am a stay at home mom to a 3 year old boy & a 1&1/2 year old girl. I called the YMCA to make mine & my daughters reservation for toddler time class at 10:15am. The lady asked me “what’s your daughters birthday?” And my mind COMPLETELY blanked & couldn’t remember her birthday for the life of me. I freaked out and started acting like I couldn’t hear her & started saying “hello? Hello?” And then I hung up. I re grouped my mind and wrote her birthday down and felt mortified & embarrassed at what I just did. I gathered myself together and called the receptionist back. I told her “sorry, I got disconnected” she said “ohh? It’s ok. I was just asking what your daughters birthday is” I COMPLETELY blanked again!!!!!!! And searched for where I had written it down. At this point I knew she probably knew that I didn’t remember her birthday. Either way, I’m sure she thought I was fucking weird. Anyways, that’s all. I feel so embarrassed that I have to see this girl every day I go into the gym now 😭😭😭 anyone else have an embarrassing story? Or am I pretty much the only idiot? I feel so embarrassed and stupid.
