A friend of mine today was shocked when she saw my 15 m old baby girl looked at my phone’s home screen and said her name- yes it’s her picture. After that I told her she has been pointing herself and calling her name in mirror or in any reflection, in printed pictures, in videos etc. It has been more than at least 1,5-2 months now. She loves watching her own videos and brings phone to us and says “open Noni” ( her name is Roni).

When I google about this the studies varies but looks like babies usually develop self awareness around 24month and further. Up until that point they refer the image in the mirror as “baby”

Does anyone’s baby is aware of their reflection or image as I described above?
