He’s here!

Gabbi • Mama, professional multitasker, Nurse ♥️

Yesterday I felt terrible all day. I went to work, i felt run down and tired, and I felt like I was catching a stomach bug. I still stayed at work, and took care of my patients though. Something told me that I was going to go into labor soon so I packed an outfit to keep at my job Incase I went into labor. Well, when I got home last night I hopped into the tub because my whole body hurt, and I wanted to relax. I got my SO to feed the other kids dinner, and I hung out and listened to music in the tub. I started having contractions while I was sitting there. Nothing bad, but they were a little uncomfortable. I texted my mom jokingly that I might be in labor. She then FaceTimed me and we talked for a little bit, and my contractions got more painful. I told her that I was going to go ahead and head to labor and delivery, just to get monitored. I packed my hospital bag (I am a procrastinator) and packed bags for my older two children so they could go stay with their dad. Took me about an hour or so because of the contractions but I got it done. I laid down on the couch for a moment to rest, and by that time my mom and cousin showed up at my house. My children’s father showed to pick them up, and then we were off to the hospital. When I got here I was dilated to a two, but unfortunately I have HSV so the idea of a vaginal birth was out the window. They prepped me for surgery. I was terrified because I’ve never had surgery of any sort. I was still laboring as they got everything ready for my section. Then it was finally my turn. The csection was not bad. I did get really nauseated, but it passed quickly. My son Andrew James entered the world screaming, and peeing on all the nurses. He is 6 Ibs 8oz and 18 inches long. He is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m so blessed. I can’t sleep because I’m in so much pain, but it’s all worth it for him.

Welcome to the world sweet boy 💙 mommy and daddy are so happy to meet you.
