I had Implanon for 7 years, I loved it! Never once worried about getting pregnant and after 6 months my periods completely stopped.  There were a couple cons that I will share. After about a year on the implant I noticed I had gained about 10 pounds. I didn’t gain anymore then that but no matter how hard I dieted or worked out it wouldn’t come off. Second con, your arm will be sore for a couple weeks till you get “used” to the feeling in something in your arm, and when it comes time to replacing, it... was.. not ... fun
I’ve had three removed over 7 years and each time the implant would become “attached“ inside , so then you have to sit through 20 minutes of them trying to dig this thing out and it not wanting to come out😩 
Overall a great birth control, helped my acne and a very reliable form of bc. Most bc will have side effects so keep that in mind when deciding what’s right for you😊

My friend had an implant. A few weeks later it slipped out and had to get it surgically removed. Shortly after she had to stay in thé hospital for meningitis caused by thé surgery.  I think i have heard/ read more horror stories than good ones.  Best of luck. Hopefully you are the few that will have no issues

I had severe migraines that got so bad they would blur my vision and i couldn’t have any lights on and had to have help with the kids.

A friend of mine had it and when she was ready to start trying for kids she had it removed and for up to a year after having it removed she was still testing as infertile. Took her and her husband 3 years to conceive after having it removed. And she had ZERO fertility issues before getting it.

My sister had one and the biggest issue was the pain after getting it put in. It hurt her for multiple months. But now it doesn’t hurt her and she has no other issue
