My son will be 8 in a couple of weeks and after a tricky few weeks towards the end of my pregnancy he was born at 34 + 5 at just 3lb 8 1/2 oz and spent many many weeks in special care. The first few years were very difficult with missed milestones, so many hospital stays and operations but the last 4 years have been amazing as a family of 3!

We were going to try for another baby in 2015 but unfortunately I was made redundant and spent time out of work and in temp short term jobs before finally settling into a new role almost 2 years ago. We’ve been trying since August though not actively just not being careful and today the two blue lines finally appeared! So excited but slightly concerned about how people will react to an 8 and 1/2 year age gap with our son! Xx
