Hotel stay with toddler. What do you do?

When we travel we always have to get a suite. With a bedroom that has a door and a separate living room to put my toddlers pack n play in because she goes to bed at 7pm and my husband and I go to bed later. It sucks having to always pay for the suite, but I don’t think my daughter would sleep if she could see us. What do you guys do when you stay at a hotel with kiddos?

Let her stay up a little later to fall asleep with us. There is no way I could pay extra for a suite just for bedtime.

We just be flexible. It’s never negatively affected my toddler to sleep later temporarily while on vacation.

We don't really have a bedtime on vacation, he goes to sleep when we do and sleeps in bed with us.

We usually throw bedtime out the window on vacation now that my son is a toddler. When he was an infant it was easier, but now unless he’s exhausted and falls asleep in the car on the ride home from the day, he’s just going to pass out when we do.

Most times when we go on vacation, we stay in a condo so that she can still have her "bedroom experience". One of her pack-n-plays are used exclusively for traveling so we can set it up in her bedrooms. We stick to her normal bedroom routine. If we out of town with my husband for work, we mostly end up staying in a hotel suite. We still "try" to stick with her normal routine. However, it is much harder in a hotel for some reason. Most times, she ends up staying up a little past her bedtime in a hotel. 👌🏾

We get a regular room, put baby in the pack n play, turn out the lights, and my SO and I lay quietly in bed on our phones until baby’s asleep then we might turn on a small light or whisper to each other. If we’re in a hotel it’s late and we’re all exhausted anyway.

Ugh we do the same thing. We tried all staying in one room once and it was awful. We just have to be intentional about putting extra money aside for trips for this exact reason. I wish I could give you a better solution.
