Boyfriend wants secret relationship

I love my boyfriend more than anything but I felt like he keeps making up excuses of why I can’t meet his family yet or why he can’t add me on social media like FB or IG but I do have him added on Snapchat. He has talked to me on the phone while he is with his siblings. They know I exist they just don’t know I’m his girlfriend.. I mean he claims it’s because of everything that is going on with his ex gf.. they have two kids together and he was with her for over 10 years, I myself have kids by my ex husband so I know how dating someone new can be a lot to handle on the family and the kids. I just don’t get why he keeps our relationship a secret. I think maybe it’s because I’m black and he doesn’t think his family would like me and I think that’s why he just acts like we are friends. I never met his mom and when he is at his mom’s house he sends me a text to tell me that he is there and he won’t be able to talk to me but I can check Snapchat to see what he is doing. I just find this incredible strange and I feel like walking away honestly. What should I do?
