My son is 4 weeks old and is struggling with feeding. He was born with a tongue tie which was corrected 5 days ago. The dr said his latch should immediately improve but I swear it’s gotten worse. He latches on but doesn’t stay on more than 30 seconds at a time. He’s taking in a ton of air which makes him gassy. He is gaining weight and having enough diapers but feedings are miserable and he doesn’t enjoy them, fussed and cries. Ive tried different positions, feeding more frequently in case there was too much milk or something. I pumped a bottle last night and he was so calm and then slept over 4 hours. I EBF my daughter for over a year we never had to buy formula. I’d really rather not have to this time and am willing to pump but I don’t know how realistic just pumping is? I feel like such a failure.
