C section any advice?

I’m a FTM & will be delivering baby via c section due to gestational diabetes. 
Is there any advice anyone can tell me or what to bring to the hospital with me?

I had an emergency c section on 1/26/19. I am a ftm but I would say a nursing pillow even if you do not plan on breast feeding. The nursing pillow will help with holding the baby after the csection. Loose sweat pants or clothing. You will most likely be there at least 3 days so entertainment like laptop, tablet, movies and music. Doctors and nurses will be coming in to check vitals and other things at least every 3-4 hours the first two days so for me it was easier to just wear the hospital gown so you will not have to undress multiple times a day for them to check bleeding and press on your stomach.

If possible, try and walk. Walking helps heal faster. I couldn’t do that this time due to blood pressure issues and this recovery has been hell. Also meds are important the first week.

Loose clothes to go home in. I’m taking a belly wrap this time around, not sure if it will be wearable right after but I’m going to try it. Entertainment (I have to stay 3 days after this one) possibly a nursing pillow too.
