Is progesterone really effective?

Question

We have had 3 miscarriages and doctor has me on progesterone now starting 3 days after peak... first pill was last night. 
I ask bc I’m someone who gets so invested every month and just want to know if I can have high hopes or should just expect the same as previous months?

It didn’t work for me when my progesterone was low. I started using it after a blood test indicating low progesterone, so I can’t speak to using it immediately after ovulation. I believe that pregnancy was going to miscarry regardless of what I did though..

Took it and still miscarried 10 weeks

It didnt work for me. I was taking femara and progesterone through out first 10 weeks and i still miscarried at 9 weeks.

It worked for my cousin after 2 miscarriages. I’ve had 2 as well and doc has prescribed it for me to take once I get another bfp. She does refer to it as “hocus pocus medicine” because there is not a lot of science behind it. Would love ti hear about others experiences.
