How many people listen to your gut feeling? Was your gut feeling always right? If so explain.

I am and always have been correct with my gut feelings or thoughts on a situation... that’s usually why people come to to talk to me

My in laws asked to take my kids out for their birthday last July. I had a really bad feeling about it. Something just felt off. I couldn’t explain it to my husband so we decided to let them go. After they left I felt even worse. Like I was going to have a panic attack. Turned they took them to a completely different place than they implied they were going to take them. We had told them before not to take them there so they did knew better. 
Going forward I will always pay more attention when I get that feeling and my in laws will never take my kids anywhere without me or my husband.

When I was a teenager and used to get into sneaky things like sneaking out and all that I would sometimes get a gut feeling that something isn’t right I shouldn’t do this but I wouldn’t listen to it and every time that happened I always ended up getting into some sort of trouble.
My mom told me recently that she read a research journal that says they’ve actually found cells in the gut region that are similar to cells found in your brain or something along the lines of that. I don’t know exactly what that means and if that’s a reason why we get that “gut feeling” but it’s definitely interesting.

My gut feeling is panicking that my fiance has gotten in a terrible car accident when hes 5 minutes late from work lol I don't have the best intuition. My intuition is called elanxiety and over thinking 😂😂

When I was a kid I asked my mom what a gut feeling was. She told me a story of when a family member (I think her grandpa) died when she was a kid. Her, her parents, and 2 siblings had to drive like 4 hours or something like that, it was middle of winter and the roads were pretty bad and there was super thick fog.
About 2 hours into the drive, my Papa randomly said "We need to go home." And turned around. My grandma asked him why and he said he had a terrible feeling something bad was going to happen, so they went home. Once they were home, they turned on the news, there was a huge accident a little down the road that happened around the same time that they turned around, like 30 people dead. Ever since she told me that story, I've always trusted my gut.
