I'm going to my first infertility appointment next week and am a little anxious. I have a 5cm endometrioma that my doc says is affecting ovulation. Since we've been TTC with no luck, he referred me out to an Infertility Reproductive Endocrinologist for surgery to remove the cyst and said that the Infertility Doc will want to run tests on me and my husband. Can anyone shed some light on what we can expect from our first appointment next week? What tests do they start out with? How long does an initial appt typically last? How does the semen specimen work for my husband- does he have to do it in the office or can you take a sample from home to the Doc? I know these questions seem amateur, but we don't know anyone who's been through this and we have no idea how it all works.
