Should he be upset?

So I just bought this ticket for this event which was almost 100. I’m going with a bunch of friends (all women) to LA from Las Vegas. We’ll be there for not even a day. But my boyfriend is upset because he doesn’t like when I spend a lot of money.

I never do anything for myself. I spend most my days busy with college and work. So I thought this would be a good 24 hour vacation.

I’m still gonna go because he doesn’t have the right to control what I do. It’s not like we’re living together.

But I’m just wondering should he be mad.
