I'm in the process of weaning off nipple shields and today was my first successful nursing session without one. My LO usually gets super frustrated with my nipple becaude he's used to the lazy feed of the shield. My nipples are very short nearly inverted so it makes getting a deep latch very difficult and he ends up tearing my nipple to bits literally skin was hanging before I started using shields. I'm pretty happy with myself for this! Slowly but surely gonna get rid of these shields!
