I’m going to try to make this semi short and sweet; my mom and step father are going through a divorce. I called my mom and asked her to let me know when she gets her divorce decree in the mail so I can notify my insurance company. (I’m on my step dads insurance, I will be dropped from it the day the decree is signed by the judge). I need to know when their divorce is finalized so I’m not using my insurance card when I shouldn’t be and so I can let my doctors office know to only bill my secondary insurance. I personally think that’s the responsible and honest thing to do.

She told me she doesn’t know, and I said “thats okay, I will ask *step dad* and see if he knows what’s going on. Thank you.”

She flipped TF out on me. She told me that I shouldn’t be talking to my step dad or “relaying information to him”, that she loves me more and I should ask her only. So I called her to try to calm her down, and she screamed at me and said how horrible I am for talking to him and that I should “just rely on God to take care of it”. I told her its my responsibility to make sure I’m not committing insurance fraud, and that I have to be in contact with my step father bc ultimately he’s the subscriber and the one who has to turn in the decree to Human Resources at his work. I told her she was being irrational and that I cannot handle her flipping out over everything. She had a list of things I cannot say around her. I told her my husband doesnt appreciate her screaming at me and she said its none of his business and she doesn’t care what he thinks. That he has no place to even speak bc he doesn’t talk to his own mother (he does, but she’s a Jehovah’s Witness and she has disowned him for not being a part of the faith). So I kinda lost it bc she was disrespecting my family. I told her she’s selfish and entitled and that if her behavior continues, she will not be allowed near my family. I told her goodbye and hung up...and then she sent me this...

GUYS. WTH is this. I’m a Christian but this is whacky and she seems completely crazy. What would you do?
