Stopped birth control

So I had to take birth control to get rid of a cyst I had on my right overy. I went to my doctor on Thursday and had And ultra sound and the cyst is officially gone. My doctor gave me the okay to stop taking the birth control so we (my fiancé and I) could start try for a little one again. I stopped taking the birth control yesterday(Thursday) and now it’s Friday evening and my period is full on... my question is, is this normal to have a cycle start so quick after stop BC?
