Can you feel your cervix dilating?

I got my cervix checked at 35 weeks but I hadn’t dilated or anything, then one night I had EXTREME lightening crotch, I got checked again the morning after, not even a week after the first cervix check, and I had dilated 1.5 cm! I’m pretty convinced that lightening crotch is linked to dilation but I could be wrong. I will be trulyyyy convinced if i’m dilated a lot more at my next check though, because i’ve had it a lot more frequently.

I was .5cm dilated on Friday but started to lose chunks of my mucus plug on Saturday and have had a bunch of cramps so I feel like I dilated more 🤷‍♀️. Would make sense, I’m 38 weeks

I haven't... I was 3-4 cm dialated at 39 weeks and I never had one single contraction or any pressure down there.

I think it depends on the person.  Some women are more sensitive and more in tune with their bodies. Others have so much going on that they miss the smaller changes. But it is definetly possible to feel it.

Yeah I feel like I definitely can. I'm 39+2 and it's only been getting worse.
