Any breastfeeding mamas have a dry or rough spot on areola that won’t go way??

I have had it for almost 2 months have been to the doctors and they’re not concerned. I put lanolin on my nipples religiously and it has helped ALOT! It is nothing like it was just feels like a tiny spot now but it seems like I have to keep it on all the time. Is this normal? Anyone else experience it? Any other solutions?

It kind of worries me despite what the doctors said so thinking of getting a second opinion but I also don’t know if it’s just continuing to get irritated by my daughter breastfeeding. I plan to stop in a month as she will be 1 year old and has already started weaning herself off.
